What MapleLedger actually does for Canadian sole proprietors
GST/HST math, T212-ready exports, and why the maker stopped retrofitting US bookkeeping tools.

The problem
Most bookkeeping apps assume US tax years and sales tax. Canadian sole proprietors end up with export rituals.
What it does
MapleLedger tracks in CAD, splits GST/HST by province, and produces a T212-shaped summary.
Who it's for
Freelancers filing their own taxes. It is not payroll software and does not try to be.
The limits of the fit
Corporations with shareholders will need more. MapleLedger is deliberately narrow.
