About Deri
Deri exists to get small Canadian software seen. Most independent apps die unread — not because they're bad, but because the people who'd love them never hear about them. Big tech-news sites want funding rounds, and link-farm directories want credit cards. Neither cares whether your thing is actually good for anybody.
What we're trying to do
Get every serious app built in Canada — founders, students, indie hackers, agencies shipping side platforms — one honest page and one plain-language write-up. We'd rather host ten thousand listings for free than a hundred for a fee.
How an app ends up here
- You submit — free, or through your coding agent via the MCP endpoint.
- A person reads it. Spam, adult content, and vaporware get rejected.
- Its own directory page is created, with metadata and structured data.
- A write-up is drafted in plain language — including who it isn't for.
- An editor publishes it into a Monday launch batch.
What it costs
Listing costs nothing and includes 2 followed links that stay up forever. The only product is a pinned Featured row. No numbers of traffic are promised — a listing is a permanent page that search engines and answer engines can read, not a lottery ticket.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Placements pass no search credit. Paid rows carry rel="sponsored" and to the on-site page only. Your free links keep their weight.
- Coverage is never for sale. You cannot commission, expedite, or improve a write-up with money.
- Nothing publishes automatically. A person reads every submission. Spam and adult content get rejected.
- Posts stay up when you stop paying. Cancellation removes the pin, never the page, the write-up, or the links.
- Facts get fixed, opinions don't get bought. Spot a factual error and we'll correct it; disagreement with a take isn't a correction.
